Description
The suspense script begins when the fishermen embark – as they do every year – leaving the women alone in the village in charge of their children and grandparents. Among the women are Ona, a bookstore owner, and Marina an oyster farmer and fisherman’s wife, who daydreams about a full life. Ona, sexually ambiguous but with an erotic appeal captivating both, men and women, makes Marina’s visits to the bookstore strongly criticized by Inés her mother-in-law, a puritanical woman who strongly condemns Marina’s flirtations with the dangers posed by her overflowing imagination.
